Description
Thanks to a comprehensive list of wagon types, numbers and dimensions, Phoenix Developments have recreated the goods stock of one of Britain’s most obscure railway companies.
From the pack’s creator: “The Milford and Manchester Railway opened its first section of line in 1866, but due to a lack of funding neither of the two places in the name were ever reached. Information on the company’s rolling stock is extremely scarce, only a few photos are known to exist and to my knowledge all of them show passenger trains. The vehicles in this pack can be grouped into two categories. The covered vans, cattle vans and brake van were supplied by the Metropolitan C&W Works of Birmingham and likely survived for a couple of years in GWR ownership after 1906. The open wagons were built in-house by the M&MR, it is unlikely that the GWR ever repainted these dumb-buffered wagons. Unfortunately I could not source drawings for the latter category of wagons so the models might be slightly inaccurate.”
